During this continued time of social distancing, children need more support than ever. Nurture Groups are small, fun, play therapy groups with the intention of teaching children key skills to forming healthy relationships. This summer you can facilitate a Nurture Group for your family or neighbors or children in your care. Nurture Groups give opportunities for children to express emotion in a healthy way and to learn to self-regulate emotion and behavior. We will also guide participants in working on 4 skills necessary for healthy relationships (Jude Cassidy, 2001).
You will come away from this one hour webinar with the knowledge of how to lead a Nurture Group and 3 lessons you can use this summer as you support children.
Anyone can learn to lead a nurture group, no pre-requisites required.
