Full Description

Great coaches know how to bring the best out of their athletes and their team. But now, more than ever, this requires understanding and responding to the chronic stress – and often trauma – athletes bring with them to practice or the meet, game, or match. Understanding how to better connect with athletes so they feel safe allows coaches to help athletes perform at their highest potential and build a positive, empowered team culture.

This course includes:

  • A host guide that helps you form small discussion groups and a plan to tackle the training as a group in just 4 weeks (about 90 minutes to 2 hours per week commitment)
  • The Trauma-Informed Leadership Course with three learning modules: The Foundations of a Trauma-Informed Approach, The Importance of Personal Wellness, and Principles of Trauma-Informed Organizations
  • 18 expert-led, video-based teachings (6 in each module)
  • A Companion Guide tailored to coaches and athletic departments with self-reflection questions and easy-to-follow group discussion prompts so you don’t need a trauma pro or moderator and can move from learning to developing action plans to make your team or athletic department stronger
