Description
There’s no other way to say it…experiencing grief or loss is hard! And, many things can cause grief – the death of a loved one, of course, but also things like the loss of a job or relationship, seeing your parents suffer with dementia or to be separated from your friends and community, as we’ve seen with COVID-19.
No two individuals process loss the same way so it can be difficult to know what is healthy and how to help someone you love who is grieving. In this short webinar, Trauma Free World’s SVP of Training & Curriculum, Julie Cooper and speaker, storyteller, writer Kelly Streiff, unpack several key ideas about grief that can help you understand more about this highly emotional time and how to help yourself or someone you love go through it.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
- What is grief?
- Is there a healthy way to grieve? How long should it take?
- When is it time to call in professional help (a therapist, pastor, counselor)
- How can couples and families get through a loss together and avoid growing apart?
* This class is faith-forward, meaning it includes a few references to scripture, God, Jesus and Christian principles. All are welcome.
